Using HEXKOTE is easy and fast and here’s what we’ve found works best for our Tactical, Equipment and Marine Series products
Disposable Wipes
The disposable wipes are designed to provide a convenient way to carry or pack small pre-filled pouches of HEXKOTE that can easily be used anywhere. Knead Foil Pouch first to ensure wipe saturations and then simply tear open the foil pack and remove and unfold the disposable wipe. Once unfolded, wipe down the part while working the solution into any tight areas to help clean and remove any dirt, grime or debris. After your part is good and clean, simply provide a final wipe down leaving a thin layer of HEXKOTE behind. Let the part dry (time to dry varies based on environmental conditions) and then you’re ready to store or continue using as needed.
Reusable Power Wipe
The reuseable Power Wipe is a little more robust and reusable than the disposable. This wipe is preloaded with enough HEXKOTE to last for several applications before it is all used up. KNEAD THE POUCH first to saturate, wipe and then simply tear the foil pack open, remove the cloth from the pouch, unfold it and wipe away. Get down into cracks and crevices to clean the part completely and then give it a final thin coat. Once dry (time to dry varies based on environmental conditions), continue to use the part or put away for storage. Fold the cloth back up and place in a foil pouch, then seal the foil pouch with the convenient plastic zipper. You can reuse the cloth if some HEXKOTE is still present.
Aerosol Spray
The aerosol sprays come in two convenient sizes. Both have a small straw that is retained in the slot in the cap. Use it with the straw for those hard-to-reach tight areas and without the straw for wider area applications. SHAKE WELL FIRST, then spray a thin coating of the solution on the part or item and let dry if only protection or lubrication is desired. If cleaning is also desired then simply spray the part, clean with a lint free cloth of your choice and then let it dry (time to dry varies based on environmental conditions).
Dropper Bottle
The dropper bottle is designed for small projects where only a few drops are needed. SHAKE WELL and then simply squeeze a few drops onto your project part, clean if desired with a lint free cloth, and then apply a thin coat at the end and let it dry (time to dry varies based on environmental conditions).
Needle Pen
The needle pen is designed to allow HEXKOTE application in hard-to-reach areas. SHAKE WELL FIRST and then remove the protective cap and insert or tuck in the needle to the area that requires protection and lubrication and gently squeeze a few drops onto the part. Wipe any excess with a lint free cloth and allow it to dry (time to dry varies based on environmental conditions).
Gallon Can
Developed for larger applications and equipment, this larger quantity ensures HEXKOTE is there when you need it. SHAKE CAN WELL and then pour a suitable amount into a spray bottle or other applicator and use as needed. Utilize a lint free cloth to clean and then wipe any excess from the surface and let dry (time to dry varies based on environmental conditions). Ensure the cap goes back on the gallon container when not in use and store.

HI-SLIP Grease Syringe
Clean surfaces well prior to application using a HEXKOTE Tactical, Equipment, or Marine Series product. Then apply a small amount of HI-SLIP Grease with the syringe applicator exactly where you want it. Wipe off any excess. Pull back on the syringe plunger to draw grease out of the nozzle and replace the cap.
SMOOTH-KOTE Dropper Bottle
Stir or Shake Well. Clean the surface well. Apply a thin coat to all interior surfaces. Use a brush or pad to apply and allow 2-hours to fully cure.
POWDER-KOTE Dropper Bottle
Clean surfaces well; use a cleaner that leaves no residue or use alcohol to rinse the cleaned surfaces before treating. Allow surfaces to dry. Apply a small amount of POWDER-KOTE to a clean patch or cloth and briskly rub the powder into the metal surface. For tight spaces, dip a cotton swab into powder and work into the surfaces.
